More than 100 US troops suffered traumatic brain injuries after Iran missile strike: report
By: Rebecca Klar - The Hill News - 02-10-20

The Pentagon is reportedly planning to reveal that more than 100 U.S. troops suffered traumatic brain injuries last month as a result of an Iranian missile strike on an Iraqi base, a significant increase from initial reports that 34 service members were injured.

Reuters, citing unnamed officials, reported Monday that the Defense Department will announce that the injuries are up from the most recent tally of 64.

The Pentagon has said it expects the number of individuals diagnosed with traumatic brain injuries, or TBIs, to rise since symptoms can take time to manifest, the newswire reported.

A spokesperson for the Pentagon would not confirm the Reuters report, but told The Hill, "We will have a statement later on today."

President Trump downplayed the injuries after the Pentagon initially reported 34 service members had been diagnosed with TBIs. At the time, Trump said no U.S. service members had been injured, later adding he had “heard that they had headaches and a couple of other things.”

Veterans of Foreign Wars called on Trump to apologize for the remarks.

Iran's attack on the Iraqi airbase was in retaliation for Trump ordering the drone strike that killed Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani near Baghdad International Airport in early January.

Personal note: Trump made statements that were untrue now has to eat his word.
As I stated earlier concussions are major factors in wars or conflicts. Head trauma is not something to fool around with its quite damaging.

O Almighty Lord God, who neither slumberest nor sleepest; Protect and assist, we beseech thee, all those who at home or abroad, by land, by sea, or in the air, are serving this country, that they, being armed with thy defence, may be preserved evermore in all perils; and being filled with wisdom and girded with strength, may do their duty to thy honour and glory; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
