Happy Thanksgiving to ALL!
TWAS THE NIGHT OF THANKSGIVING,
BUT I JUST COULDN'T SLEEP I TRIED COUNTING BACKWARDS, I TRIED COUNTING SHEEP. THE LEFTOVERS BECKONED - THE DARK MEAT AND WHITE BUT I FOUGHT THE TEMPTATION WITH ALL OF MY MIGHT TOSSING AND TURNING WITH ANTICIPATION THE THOUGHT OF A SNACK BECAME INFATUATION. SO, I RACED TO THE KITCHEN, FLUNG OPEN THE DOOR AND GAZED AT THE FRIDGE, FULL OF GOODIES GALORE. I GOBBLED UP TURKEY AND BUTTERED POTATOES, PICKLES AND CARROTS, BEANS AND TOMATOES. I FELT MYSELF SWELLING SO PLUMP AND SO ROUND, 'TIL ALL OF A SUDDEN, I ROSE OFF THE GROUND. I CRASHED THROUGH THE CEILING, FLOATING INTO THE SKY WITH A MOUTHFUL OF PUDDING AND A HANDFUL OF PIE. BUT, I MANAGED TO YELL AS I SOARED PAST THE TREES.... HAPPY EATING TO ALL. PASS THE CRANBERRIES, PLEASE. MAY YOUR STUFFING BE TASTY, MAY YOUR TURKEY BE PLUMP. MAY YOUR POTATOES 'N GRAVY HAVE NARY A LUMP, MAY YOUR YAMS BE DELICIOUS, MAY YOUR PIES TAKE THE PRIZE, MAY YOUR THANKSGIVING DINNER STAY OFF OF YOUR THIGHS. HAVE A WONDERFUL THANKSGIVING! Just a note to say thank you all for the laughs. I have enjoyed all of you. I'll be scarce through the holiday. I hope all of you have a fabulous time. Philly |

Ditto-Ditto...to EVERYONE.
Still My Friends, and even though a great day for all,...I'd suggest moderation. After all, eating a week's worth of food at one sitting used to screw-me-up for a good 4-5 hours afterwards.
Nowadays at Thanksgiving I just enjoy eating normally, no matter how many tons of food are on the table. Then, prior to watching The 11 o'clock News, I grab me a cold turkey drumstick, sprinkle a little salt on it, and even get to enjoy The News for-a-change. Hell, that's probably the only time of the year that I find The News close to palatable. Most times The News is rotten. Neil |

Thanksgiving is a time for thinking of those who are a special part of our lives and have a special place in our hearts... Being family isn't so much a matter of time, as a matter of the heart... And you'll always have a special place in the hearts of this family. That's why Thanksgiving is a time for thinking of all my friends and Family.... Be Safe and God Bless....... Have a Wonderful Thanksgiving! Sempers, Roger and Ellie and My Marine Brats....

My Wife's A Pilgrim
Some of my wife's cousins belong to the Mayflower society. They have this geneology that traces their family roots back to the Mayflower. My wife doesn't belong but her geneology is the same as her cousins'. So ........ she is a PILGRIM.
About two weeks before Thanksgiving she is haunted by the Pilgrim bug. She plants stocks out in the front yard and if I get out of line she puts me in stocks. It's terribly embarrassing, the neighbors all believe we belong to some strange cult. And, the little kids mock me and tease me on their way to school in the mornings. She also has a whipping post in the backyard. If I really get out of line, I get 20 lashes. It seems that Pilgrims can do that because of some strange loop hole in the law that allow PILGRIMS to do these things two weeks before Thanksgiving and one week after Thanksgiving. The worst was when she built a dunking stool over the swimming pool. Now the water wasn't too bad but one year it froze over and she still tried to dunk me. I suffered two broken ankles as my feet slammed into the hard ice. Well, at least I got a reprieve for a couple of weeks in the Hospital. So you guys all think Thanksgiving is so great. Just try living with a Pilgrim during Thanksgiving. Happy Thanksgiving to each and everyone of you. Keith P.S. If you believe that story, I have some ocean front property in Nebraska I'd like to sell you. Though my wife really has a Pilgrim heritage. |

Keith,
My Ma is in the Daughters of the Mayflower and our Mayflower pilgrim ancestor is one Jonathon Priest who died not long after the landing. I?m sure everyone knew everyone at the time so it is just another round and round it goes and one of those interesting things we come across. Happy thanksgiving to all and fair seas, Bill |

I had no idea Sue was so kinky. B&D and S&M, very interesting. Mom's family didn't make it to New England until 1690, they wanted to wait till the witch trials were over. But thank your wife for giving us all Thanksgiving.
We have a big family get together planned, if everyone can make it thru all the snow. Only 5 inches at our house but some of the family really got blasted. Happy bird day to all and may your football team win it's game. Stay healthy, Andy |

Thanksgiving A Great Holiday.
Andy,
William Hixson arrived on the shores of Jersey in 1650. So my geneology goes way back. My grandmother Harrison, has her roots in Jamestown, VA. A few years prior to the Pilgrims. Scamp. My wife's ancestor was Priscilla Mullins and John Alden. I believe they had 7 or 8 children who reached maturity and married. About half the Mayflower descendants come from the Aldens. The Aldens both lived to old age (80's) I believe. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and there is so much for each of us to practicie gratitude. Keith |
