?Don?t ask for help if you are not prepared to receive it!??

Today in Iraq, what could have been a very courageous young man leaped into a car-load of United Nations Inspectors, notebook in hand, and offering (according to CNN) to help the inspectors with information!

An hour earlier, however, another individual attempted to get at the inspectors as well, but this fool; was armed with several knives. ?Both individuals were dragged away by Iraqi Goon Squads!!?

Getting back to the guy with the notebook, sometimes a chance has to be taken and with information about ?Hussein?s Weapons of Mass Destruction? critical and at a premium, maybe this guy was genuine. If he was, he and his family are (again according to CNN) now in grave danger!

As for the crumb-bum with the knives, both he and the gent offering to help UN Inspectors were uncerimoneously hauled away. You can bet your ass, however, that the jerk with the blades (probably planning to slice and dice an inspector or two), will probably end up as a future son-in-law of old Saddam! Until, of course, like the ?Queen In Alice in Wonderland?, Saddam too issues the order - ?OFF WITH HIS HEAD!!?

One thing is for sure though, with our call for open revolt among Hussein?s inner circle, Saddam is beginning to get paranoid! ?He has everyone watching everybody else!!? Of course, who the UN is watching (if anyone) is anybody's guess?

Getting back to that brave kid that attempted to solicit UN aid and protection, the last that was seen of him was when he was being dragged away (literally) in plain sight of UN Inspectors, and with CNN cameras rolling no less!

Apparently, not much has changed since we invited the Kurds to revolt some years back, but, unfortunately, no help was forthcoming to them from the Coalition!? Was this not also when the Iraqis nerve-gassed entire villages, murdering men, women and children alike, and attacked these civilians, using helicopters that we allowed them to keep after the Coalition kicked their asses in 1991?!

What kind of message does it send to other ?Would-Be Defectors? or even a few ?Iraqi Patriots? who want Hussein out of power, if when given the chance, we abandon one brave kid to the mercies of a brutally repressive enemy!
