Sir's!

It is not that I want to just "dump a whole truckload of links in your lap". But as Mortardude asked about finding information about USARMY SF, perhaps the below in one way or the other, may help in efforts of retaining some information? Links are at bottom of this post, and some may also be usefull as for retaining information in other subjects aswell of course. As for example, Field Artillery actions in RVN between 1954 - 1973, Air Mobile operations, Cavalry/Armored,....

T G C!

Sincerely
A.B

Though other links of above, may not be related to "the subject in this thread", I yet wish to post them anyway. This, so that possible readers of this post, may perhaps find a subject of his more personal interrest and connection to His own service in RVN. For example the 10th link of the above, would be of interrest for all "Redlegs". And the 11th link, is for "Air Mobilility", which I beleive would be of interrest to anyone, having served with the 101st Inf Div Abn/AirMob. End note by A.B).

A.B., that is a bunch of websites. Back to the Khmers, Sid is right, they and the Viets really didn't like each other vewy much. The Viets couldn't say "Khmer" without spitting on the ground afterwards.

By the way, when we were at Bien Hoa next to Ton Son Nuht the Green Beanies had air conditioned stucco barracks behind a barbed wire perimeter. I didn't begrudge them a bit.

It all come over to our side of the strip. I remember seeing the one strand of barbed wire and wondered what the hell that was going to stop. Then I ooked at the guys inside the wire and said, "Oh yeah!" It was like an invisible fence. It's job was to keep them in.

This post reminded me of a small SF compound off hwy 1 between Phu Bi and our base at Gie Lei. There was an older SF sgt that loved my buddy Herold and I. Herold had brought them a trailer load of lumber and other things [when no one was looking.] He had us over to their nice air conditioned club for free drinks several times and would give us a ride back to Gie Lei when we got drunk. Once two bennies just back in from the feild started to razz us about being legs and etc. the sgt made them stop that. Those bennes knew how to live. Funny thing was when we all got back to the states at FT Bragg the SF sgt, herold and I, all lived in the same trailer park.
