Default Hue

I have several AAR and first hand articals from some Marines and Cav and 101st guys, I'll put it all togeather if you guys want, But, Theres a lot so unless you want it, Im not going to even start.
There are actually 3 different citys to the city of Hue,
There is the
'New city of Hue'
'The Imperial city' and
'Hue'
The New city of Hue is where I was (got pictures) its on the south side of the perfume river , By RT1.
The Imperial city is INSIDE the Citadel walls (20 feet thick 30 feet high)
And the City of Hue, outside the Citadel walls on the north side of the perfume river.
This whole area was Known as Hue but is very distinct to Vietnamies, Kinda like LA and East LA.

Anyway if there interest I'll do it, if not it will save me about a weeks work on this stupid keyboard.

Ron

Hey Ron, if you put it up I sure will read it. But if it's too much work for you, it's cool.

I spent a lot of 1968 in Hue. All the convoys heading north passed through it and we would get loaded with supplys on the south side of the Perfume River from landing type boats. In the beginning of 68 I think the NVA were still in the Cidedel on the north side of the river when we would pass through the city in convoys. I do remember a lot of small arms fire also on the south side. I was doing a lot of flinching and ducking down inside the truck then. I didn't know we were in Hue at the time. It was a beutiful city before it got all shot up. There was a large church, University, Pagotas, and it was kind of park like with lion cages etc along the Perfume. I have home movie pictures of it thanks to one of our Lt's we found a few years back.
