I've learned....
That money doesn't buy class.

I've learned....
That the best classroom in the world is at the feet of an elderly
person.

I've learned....
That just one person saying to me, "You've made my day!" makes my day.

I've learned....
That being kind is more important than being right.

I've learned....
That I can always pray for someone when I don't have the strength to
help him in some other way.

I've learned....
That no matter how serious your life requires you to be, everyone needs
a friend to act goofy with.

I've learned....
That sometimes all a person needs is a hand to hold and a heart to
understand.

I've learned....
That we should be glad God doesn't give us everything we ask for.

I've learned....
That it's those small daily happenings that make life so spectacular

I've learned...
That under everyone's hard shell is someone who wants to be appreciated
and loved.

I've learned....
That the Lord didn't do it all in one day. What makes me think I can?

I've learned....
That to ignore the facts does not change the facts.

I've learned....
That when you plan to get even with someone, you are only letting that
person continue to hurt you.

I've learned....
That love, not time, heals all wounds.

I've learned....
That the easiest way for me to grow as a person is to surround myself
with people smarter than I am.

I've learned....
That everyone you meet deserves to be greeted with a smile.

I've learned....
That life is tough, but I'm tougher.

I've learned....
That opportunities are never lost; someone will take the ones you miss.

I've learned....
That when you harbor bitterness, happiness will dock elsewhere.

I've learned....
That one should keep his words both soft and tender, because tomorrow he
may have to eat them.

I've learned....
That a smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks.

I've learned....
That I can't choose how I feel, but I can choose what I do about it.

I've learned....
That when your newly born child holds your little finger in his little
fist, that you're hooked for life.

I've learned....
That everyone wants to live on top of the mountain, but all the
happiness and growth occurs while you're climbing it.

I've learned ...
That it is best to give advice in only two circumstances; when it is
requested and when it is a life threatening situation.

I've learned....
That the less time I have to work with, the more things I get done.

Dropped the youngest off at school and got behind a blonde with poneytail and halter-top driving a '66, bright red Mustang convertible, mint condition! Wasn't sure of the year so I got beside here at the stoplight and asked. When she told me, I said "Beautiful!" and I meant the car! Dmn! I'm getting old!
May God grant us all we need, and less than we deserve.

At 77 now - I find - I'm still an American -
-
My days are numbered and how much more time I have
is in God's hands.
-
12 yrs. of Military Service - has been ingrained within me even to this very day.
-
Memories of my past still come up every now and then - about those we lost.
-
Inside my garage it's like a military museum.
-
Many of the guys I served with have past already - and those remaining
have ongoing medical issues even to this day.
-
We all carry baggage of those days - along with a few flashbacks - which
is something we all carry - all of our days.
-
Our country today seems to have morphed into some controversial issues.
Of which - I can not tolerate - nor do I accept.
-
Our Constitution is threatened by those who think they know better.
Alarming I say. What happened at the Capitol - was a back breaker!

I'm neither a Dem or Rep - I'm an American - and my forefathers
and relative's all fought for this country - as did my Brother's & I.
-
As we all know grave's are scattered all around the globe with our
burial sites of our Brother's & Sister's. I wonder what they think of
our current ongoing erratic political system - and its current course
of actions or operations?
-
Our future depends on those currently in office and the mannerisms
of their current actions - are always in question!
-
Congress is depressing - it's currently made up of old men and young
men & women who are pressing the ya's and na's - in our behalf.

Insurrections' are disgusting and un-American. Allowing this to get
a pass - will lead others to revolt - which will be the downfall of this
country!

I'm disappointed that so many seem to think this was a great thing!

Whatever happen to a peaceful transition?
-
12 years of service two tours to Nam. Lost many friends & relatives
during my service days. I'm carrying their torch in behalf of them
and all the Men & Women who've suffered such losses.
-
We must remain United - to do otherwise - will lead us down the
wrong path. Those still serving have to be wondering what the hell's
going on back home!

a. I finally close by saying both Trump & Binden have to go.

b. Congress needs an ass kicking. Here to we know backdoor
deals are made to ensure re-election & donations.

c. Our "Declaration of Indepence" is the Rule of Law & must be
maintained at all times - no exceptions! Unless the People
sign off on any "changes or alterations" are to be considered
or made!

d. Any further internal American insurrections - made should
suffer the imprisonment and/or deportation.

e. Crimes against our Democracy "must not & will not" be tolerated!
at any cost - and not by insurrections - but by deportation - or
loss of citizenship.

United we Stand - Divided we Fall - so it's been said and so has it
been written.
