Goodness! Cpl. Brown, maybe
SAN JOSE, Costa Rica ? An American senior citizen killed an alleged mugger with his bare hands, and his traveling companions aboard a tour bus fended of two other assailants in the Atlantic coast city of Limon, police said.
A retired member of the U.S. military aged about 70 put suspect Warner Segura in a head lock and broke his clavicle after the 20-year-old and two other men armed with a knife and gun held up their tour bus, Luis Hernandez, the police chief of Limon, 80 miles east of San Jose, said Thursday. Segura was later declared dead, apparently from asphyxiation. Scamp

The Limon Chief of Police said that no charges would be brought against the Americans because they were in the right by defending themselves.
We're not in Massachusetts anymore, Toto!

Good for the elderly. Another reason we all should be armed.

Doc...
You got that right with that: "We're not.....................".
After all, and if such commendable heroism were displayed at protecting others in either Massachusetts, New Jersey or anywhere else in The North East, one has to believe that all the gutsy oldtimers would now be in a world of grief or deep-shit,....INSTEAD. Here there would be authorities and agencies up-the-wazzu insisting that the armed perps were denied their Civil Rights, were abused as children, orrrrrrrrrrrrrr were denied the needed forwarning that Americans in general not whusses or pussies,...and especially not Veterans. Either or all such defenses actually worth MILLION$ in America. Fortunately for all concerned (perps excluded), the hold-up was bravely foiled in Limon, Costa Rica and/or where sanity prevails. Don't believe they have an ACLU Branch there. Neil |
