Thanks Sis,

That is what I was recalling but didn’t recall the lyrics or artist. In context with the lyrics, I just enjoy the magic, going with the flow and don’t try to figure things out. Last weekend I took LG out to the ranch, had her stand on a box and showed her how to set the cinch strap on Buddy’s saddle. Fair enough, she got it right, and I just added the pull down power. So up she went, and with bridle in hand, we took Buddy for a long walk. He he, I don’t ride the hey burners, just take them for a walk. Maybe next year we’ll see about LG going solo, but not right now.

LG doesn’t do sweets at all; go figure, so in the saddle bags I had her fav raw broccoli, carrot sticks, mozzarella cheese sticks, some cold baked salmon and gold fish crackers. The good dogs Duke and Mariah; siblings, came along as well. Oops, I think we got us a cowgal in the making.

Oh, Buddy is a retired Rodeo quarter horse on a new mission. About as mellow as it gets and I do perceive that horse knows when LG is mounted for he steps so very gently. Maybe it is because LG holds the goody feed bag when it is treat time. Who knows about such things, I don’t.

And then the magic of it all, LG; Lauren Grace, got a bit puny this past weekend and needed to stand down and get a rest. Her Ma told her she had a bit of a ‘bug‘, a bit of stomach flu actually. So that netted out as, “Grandpa, I have a spider in my belly”. Like what the heck do ya do with that? Some warm honey water and lemon did the deal on the ‘spider’, or at least LG reckoned that was so. The doc’s meds did the deal, but I guess ya take the magic as it comes.

Default You Opa's

and the magic you are sharing about your grandchildren remind me of the Tim McGraw song with the little ones singing the chorus at the end "One two three like a bird I sing 'cause you've given me such a beautiful set of wings"

The magic seems to be working on Annette too since the birth of Andy's grandbaby Joel Thomas Andrzejczyk. She is Mimi and loving every minute. Beau sent Johnny some balsa wood airplanes and we have been soaring together in the front yard.

Johnny turned 5 this Saturday. Took him fishing this summer and he loved it. Got him his own fishing pole and reel and looking forward to this spring , sitting on the bank watching our bobbers and listening to the world through his eyes. It's a pretty magic place.
