Chatting Chipmunks
1-24-2020
I’m sorry, but as an American I have spent the better part of the last eight decades loving my country and defending (in my own way) the values that I was taught to revere and to respect! This is not an automatic thing however, but rather, it is something that, as “An Older and Transplanted Bay State Resident” I was raised to truly believe in! It does, however, go far deeper than just that, in that I truly feel (down deep) something that it is damn hard to describe? It is a feeling that I am sure is akin to what “Leonidas and his 300” must have felt at “Thermopylae in 480 B.C” or what us “Damned Yankees” must have experienced on 19 April 1775! It is a feeling of pride and worth, that my love of “American History” has instilled deeply within my soul, and a feeling that (next to actually being there at that time), still brings a shiver of pride for those who fought, bled, and even died in defense of those things that many of us now take for granted! “And we are all brothers and sisters, you and I, and a love for those who came before us is not only our right but indeed, it is also our duty and our pride!!” It is also the heritage that we will leave in our wake as an example for our kids to live by and to emulate - for once again, “WE ARE AMERICANS, AND DAMNED PROUD OF IT TOO!!” Hardcore
