Talking Met an old fried this past weekend
Well folks I went up to the northern end of washington this weekend to see an old friend from my ship the uss black dd 666. Anyway richard and I had a very nice visit and i gave him a hat from our reunion in Reno and he gave me a belt buckle from our ship so we both have new treasures. The sad news is richard has been battling cancer for the past two years, the good news is he has won every fight. He was going through chemo when we had the reunion this year. but plans are in the works for us to all go to the one next year in boston. Now for the bad news his cancer has been linked to asbestoes from the boiler-room and I'm just now finding out our ship was exposed to agent orange while doing escort duty up the rivers of vietnam. only two of the three hundred shipmates has developed cancer and are getting benifits from the government so far. but we have just started finding everone who served so I do believe the number will grow. Please if you have time to say a prayer for my friends and shipmates richard warbus, and bill o'brian thank you in advance... chris sne3

I'm glad to hear that you were able to hook-up with an old shipmate, and sorry about his health problems. Will surely drop a prayer for all of you.

God bless you guys - prays for all. Cancer is no longer a death sentence, the quicker they find it the better the chances are. I'd ask everyone to get a check up, but that's been said before.
