Default Our dangerous Earth

You drive threw Yellowstone or Death valley or Monument valley and thing how beautiful. Ever give any thought to how those places came to be. Yellowstone is the site of 2 super volcanoes, Just under the surface is the magma mantel, that’s how the Gassers and boiling mud ponds work. Death valley sits 250 feet below sea level and once was an ocean until 2 giant earth plates crashed together creating a mountain rang and cutting off the ocean from the rest of the pacific.
How would you like to have been standing around when those huge chunks of ground came jutting up that are the main attraction of Monument valley, probably would not have been a good experience.
There were ocean going dinosaurs in Kansas, Huge killers of the sea. That is because Kansas was once part of the oceans.
Texas sits on top of a huge salt dome that is collapsing year by year, and just like any dome, could have a catastrophic failure at any time. Ever see a sink hole?
Ever wonder how all that salt got to Utah?
A million years from now people probably wont be here, but the grand canyon will be.
