Personal comments:

One thing I noticed is that their configurations are beginning to look like everyone else's?
Streamlined and geometry and fin structures seems almost like so many other countries.

The real issue is their internal workings and mechanisms. I'm not a sub guy - even when I was in the Navy subs made me claustrophobic just sitting at the peer.

Power Plants and Weaponry must vary from ship to ship and those working at different depths. I have a good friend of mine - I can't mention. But he's a US Navy Sub Officer and a specialist in submarines but he's not able to discuss any design or capabilities of our sub's - and I can respect that.

These silent service vessels are pretty scary and all can carry various weapons of mass destruction. How our fleets track them under such depths and identify friend or foe must be really tricky.

I have a lot respect for these submariner's living under the sea while at duty it has got to be punishing on the mind! I need sunlight and fresh air. Night ops are cool but still in the open air. It's just one of them things each of us has to work with while in the service.

I remember as a kid I used to watch Victory at Sea and still even now I can find some on web site and watch the old black & white movies. I can hear the opening theme song in my head right now.

I can swim like a dolphin but I can't hold my breath under several phantoms of water.
God Bless all those in the service doing their thing and watching our backs.
