Leave Our Magnificent History Alone

“History lost, can never again be retrieved!” But even knowing this, we continue to despoil, build over, and even mutilate, those irretrievable historical sites of times and places past, that can never again witness the light of our illustrious day – “why is that, do you suppose?”

And probably, the worst of all such transgressors are those abject fools who alibi their way out of their despoliation, and this by claiming that they are merely bastardizing but a portion of our historic heritage? And in doing so, they even claim that they are preserving the intent, if not the actual ground, upon which our magnificent history was created and nurtured!

So how dare these forgetful cretins besmirch our history, and the hallowed ground upon which it was created, and then bow deeply to public opinion, while espousing their love for those gallant men and women who actually shed their blood and toiled without pause, in order to grant for them the right to make an easy buck or to live the high life upon the backs of those who gave it their all to defend and to preserve, our liberties, our freedoms and our history?

Have these creatures no shame, no dignity nor even any pride, in what it really means to be an American? Or appreciation for the pain, the anguish or the blood spilled and the suffering endured, that went into every blessed-inch of freedom’s land? And how dare these creatures of darkness, with their mindsets of “all take, and no give”, ever dare to even call themselves by the honorable title of “True American and Patriots?” For to earn, and to deserve, that noble descriptive, requires far more than just a birth certificate or even an advanced college degree! Rather, it requires, nay make that demands, an imbibing sense of national pride, dignity, love of country and even the spirit of giving, that seems to have eluded most and to be far above the capability of many more to even fathom?

But this is ‘Still Our Nation’ people, and no amount of wealth, prestige, nor even worldly accolades, will ever steal-away the meaning of what it truly means to be a patriot – for that title must be earned (and paid for) on a daily basis, by people who asked not for gifts, but rather, just for the chance of becoming a part of “The American Dream!”
