Default BBQ/Texas

This morning I went to a local BBQ place for some breakfast?
So I got a box f BBQ wings . The place is a very small place in the middle of nowhere about a single car garage size. Run by this old ugly Black guy (I don't think he was done evolving), I have ate a lot of Texas BBQ but this guy is the best. He even has a bowl that he sits on his shelf for people to put money in when he goes in the house for awhile, Leaves the BBQ out (wraped up) and people pay for what they take.
I doubt if you could find anything like it in NEW YORK CITY.
After I left the BBQ I went to get beer and then home, I find myself buying larger quanities of beer lately,
So Here I am 9:40 am haveing Beer and BBQ, MMMMM_MMM

Ron

Ron I too have found that the small out of the way dives are the best. But unfortionly people find out about them and they expand and loose the quility they had when it was a smaller business.

When I was stationed in San Bernardino I developed a long lasting taste for Mexican food. There were lots of chain places like Taco Bell, Taco Tia, Senor Taco, etc. but the best place was a little out-of-the-way basement eatery simply called "Maria's". She didn't even speak English and had to have one of her daughters translate for her but she sold homemade Mex food out of the basement of her house. And was it GOOD! She made he own hot sauce that would take the chrome off a trailer hitch but it was worth it. Spent a lot of time on the "throne" afterwards, though.

39mt0 your right won't find anything like in NYC, and you sure hell won't find a Momma Leone's in Texas that can make Italian Food, or Pizza like she does.

I was watching the food channel last nite and they went to "Rudy's Country Store and BBQ" 24152 W IH-10, San Antonio, TX 78257 and it looked like some great BBQ.
They even have their menu online http://www.rudys.com/menus/index.html . We have a place here in town called "Ole' Geechees BBQ" and their "Hog Waller" plate is great it has Ribs,Chopped BBQ Pork, BBQ Chicken1/4 and 2 sides for 11$ its a great meal that we eat several times a month. We like the little mom and pop BBQ joints the best also.
