still in ala.....
yep, I am still stranded way down here in dixie. has been a real hassle getting an engine shipped here by jasper. it was supposed to have been here today....well at least the computers at the library are fast for a change. glad to see everyone got home ok. I had a great time in florida. under the umbrella next to mine was a vietnam vet ( 1st inf. div..cook )and his wife and grandkids, and on the other side was a recent mba graduate who does taxes..we discussed the IRS at length..her boyfriend graduated with a degree in geography....he and I discussed the hollow-earth theories.. and I got one hell of a sunburn.. lol !
if my life is a country western song..as frisco said..then this is a whole new verse !! it was great to meet everyone !! larry p.s : it seems the winter is continuing. my mom said in jackson, tn...just north east of memphis, it was 35 degrees last night !!!

Stranded in Dixie
Well, Larry, its good to hear your voice, sort of, haven't caught up with you in quite some time
had a good time at the Psycovets? Tom made it sound jolly, showed me the pictures. Kicking back under a beach umbrella?? Good PTSD therapy! Hollow Earth? How could it be hollow when its so flat? Ya gotta come out to The Lazy J, Lar, just got me a new lawn tractor (John Deere 120) and 2 acres to mow. This will be another diversion when I have the next Psycovets thing here

Good to hear your still alive! Glad your trip is working out except for the engine. I know why your having problems getting an engine out of Jasper.....their too damn busy running speed traps! Good luck and keep us posted! Pack

Danny lives down there in AL. Maybe he can set you up with a fine Alabama Southern Belle to keep you company during your stay
