Been gone way too long
Hey all,
I can't believe that I have been away from the forum so long. I am knee deep in my Ph.D. program and will have the opportunity to corrupt young minds this fall teaching US History to 1877 . I am looking forward to it, as while I'll have to cover some social history stuff to keep up appearances, I hope to provide the kids a course with more military and political history. I am thinking about using Joseph Plumb Martin's memoir on the Rev. War as one reading. I am still involved with Civil Air Patrol and recently was promoted to Captain. I am the Deputy Commander for Cadets in the squadron and love it, the cadets help keep me energetic, even if I am a bit down. Anyway, I hope to catch up with y'all and hope all is well. Daniel
