Thumbs up Happy 100th Birthday, 1903 Springfield Rifle

On June 20, 1903, the armed forces of the United States adopted the 1903 Springfield rifle as the standard service rifle,
replacing the 1898 Krag-Jorgensen rifle.

Thumbs down 1903

Around here we're still wired about LBJ closing the Springfield Armory. I don't know many hunters who don't own a 30-06. truly one of the finest weapons of the 20th century.
Thanks Rigger.

Stay healthy,
Andy

I had a Ensfield 30-06 and loved it. I still wish I had it but sold it when I came back to Chicago. It was a heavy piece but OK for elk hunting.

I used to own a 30-06 that woud put 6 shots into a 4-leaf clover size hole at 100-yards the doc has it now as my x sister in law told the state I was a phyco with a house full of guns. I had to move my stuff around some ,wifes tell lots of lies when they want to get rid of a cripple veteran. My x-wife is throwing me away,so she can find someone who can dance. She is trying to steal my house also. I will be seeing you - all under the bridge soon.
