Each Thanksgiving for the last 14 years it's been my job to say grace. 13 people at the table today, but 14 chairs. Always point out that empty chair, and he or they who should be sitting with us. Thanksgiving is a time to give thanks and be happy but it's also a time to remember. You can't be happy without remembering those who brought us joy but couldn't make it to this year's meal.

After the meal I made a point of telling a funny story about five of those who have passed away. Others joined in with other stories. I think we were all happy (and a little sad). To me, that's what Thanksgiving is all about. Yes, other than family and home boys, I was thinking of Frank.

Stay healthy, Please,
Andy

Happy Thanksgiving to all. First time since 1973 I haven't had my own home to go home to after eating at some one else's house on this holiday. All were here today at my Mom's except my sister's oldest daughter ( six of us ). This was also my 32nd wedding anniversary.

Hold those you love tonite and give them a special kiss and hug. Give your pet a special treat. Remember the troops in a far away place and say a prayer for them.

May God Bless us one and all.

Larry

Tonite when dad said grace He said everything normal and then as god to watch over all the men and women who are fighting for our country as he did.. then he added at the very end and God may you bless all the guys and girls that Tina talks to in PF.. I smiled felt the tears comming on.. He said amen and I gave him a hug and thanked him.. My brother and sister in-law-were a bit confused.. but dad explaind and they understood better.. My thanks giving was okay.. i had my family around (expet my baby sister and her kids) a friend in Ca was burried yesterday so it wasn't all that easy today but it was easier then i thought.. He was with me I could feel him here..
Hope you all had a wounderful Thanks giving. and
I am thankful for having each and everyone of you in my life..right along with my family..
love ya
Your friend and God Bless,
Tina

Better late than never. Happy Thanksgiving all. I am thankful my son came home from Iraq. And feel saddened for the families and soldiers who have paid the ultimate price.
We spent almost allday at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway (my husband is a dragracer) and I met some Vietnam Vets there today. I saw a new magnet ribbon on a van so I went up close to look at it and it said "Remembering oir Vietnam Vets" and it was red, white and blue. So I will have to find one of those and add it to my collection of others on the back of my truck. Talked to that vet who had been in a wheelchair since Vietnam and because of it. He has a nephew in Iraq now.
My prayers are with our soldiers and their families too.....

The hardest job in a war is to be a mother of a soldier. God bless you.
