Cinco de Mayo

An early Happy Cinco de Mayo to all Mexicans and Californians, since tomorrow celebrates the Battle of Puebla and where Mexican Army defeated French forces on May 5, 1862.

Regardless, and just out of curiosity, are there any states in America other than California that have made Cinco de Mayo and official state holiday, also?

After all, here in New Jersey we don't even officially have specific days honoring much bigger and greater American Victories like battles of The Bulge, Gettysburg or Yorktown,...just to mention a few.

Even though never a Marine, I think some old battle in vicinity of: "The Halls of Montezuma" should be celebrated instead, here in America.

French should officially celebrate their victories in France just like Mexicans should in Mexico and Cubans should do in Cuba,...and so-on and so-on. It's only natural.
