Post Mad Cow Disease!!!

A farm in the Yakima Valley in the State of Washington had a cow which tested positive for MAD COW DISEASE. This is the first known case of Mad Cow Disease in the United States. The history of the cow is not known. It was butchered in Centralia Washington. The meat didn't get into the food supply.

Talking I resemble those remarks!

Joy and Darrell live closer to that MAD COW than I. It was Butchered In Centralia, that's near Olympia. That's closer to Chris. And He loves those medium rare steaks.

Its Well Done Chris.

Question I was watching a program on this . . . . .

I was watching a lecture (program) on the dangers of Mad Cow disease to the local population. Quite interesting! This scientist (from the college) was giving details on Mad Cow disease and how it affects animals that contract the disease. Anyway to make a long lecture short.

The chances of someone from the State of Washington contracting Mad Cow's disease is about 1 chance in 30 million. We have a greater chance of getting hit by lightening or killed in an auto accident. Only the brain and spinal material when eated will carry the disease, only food that hasn't been well cook will transmit the disease. Dying from contracting food poisoning at a local resturant presents a greater threat to us than Mad Cow's disease. Now this man was not paid by anyone - not the government or the beef lobby. He was just stating facts. For some strange reason this Mad Cow's disease has caught the imagination of the press and various health organizations world-wide. The flu epidemic, drunk drivers, lightening, getting hit by a golf ball are much more of a threat to our health and safety than Mad Cow's Disease.

He felt the hype over Mad Cow's Disease was just amazing considering the real threat it places on our lives. The press really needs something to write about. Paper sales must have been low recently.

Default to Grasshopper and Keith

The latest on that "Mad Cow" in Washington is that it came from Canada. HA! I KNEW IT! Another insidious plot by the nefarious Canucks from the Great White North. Well, you can keep your "Bovines of Mass Destruction"! The American meat industry is once again proven safe!
