Im not very good with names, but, you know that lady that was protesting at the Bush ranch/ She went to California to the Governors place to tell him to bring the California NG home from Iraq. Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha. Sorry I couldn't help it. Anyway, she says even though the California NG became nationalized and sent to Iraq buy the United States Government, that the California Govenor can bring them back by declaring a disaster in California. Now California and most other states have what the victims would consider a disaster most every day of the year.
She should live in Mass. she could be a senator.

That would be Cindy Sheehan. And if the blackouts, power shutdowns and gas line explosions continue in LA County, I?m not sure the Guard or any one else will be able to stave off a calamity of massive proportions. The labor dispute within LADWP has gotten dog ugly and last week City Hall, Parker Center (LA Police) and the County jail were blacked out. The week before it was the entire San Fernando Valley. The Union in dispute claims to have no knowledge of the power failures and are very indignant at the very suggestion that they are the source of the outages.

However, severed lines to a main grid link seem to indicate someone (s) with intrinsic knowledge of HV transmission lines knew exactly what they were doing. Otherwise there would have been badly charred bodies all about the place, I?d say. Then the heavy equipment that ripped open a main service gas line, hmm, that LADWP operator is lucky to be alive given the massive fireball that went up, like a modern day miracle. Who ha, if the so cal grid gets knocked down, watch out and find a bunker real quick. New Orleans will be like a scout outing in comparison and that Cal Guard unit will be much, much safer in Iraq.

One of aspects of federalism is that the national law trumps the state law, whre competing interests prevail. With the example of some of California's Natinal Guard units being federalized, the governor is completely out of the picture from a chain of command perspective until they are released from active duty. It matters not one whit how many calamities, natural or man-made there are, only non-federalized units are the governor's to command. Under current law, the federal government cannot remove 100% of the state's national guard forces, so bet are that Arnold has plenty of forces available for whatever use they may be put.

There are 10's of thousands of her that all ready live here. Let her stay in Texas for a year or two just so you'll know how the other side lives.

Stay Healthy,

She's a suffering Mom and she's not taking it real well. It will take some time. Many Mom's lost their kids and they aren't protesting (even though some most likely would like to) but they know they kids wouldn't want that type of stuff while we have troops on the ground trying to do their job.

War's are terrible and many Mother's have lost kids over many 100's of years. That's why if you commit you have to bite the bullet and go all the way - or don't go in at all.

Might have become too generous, in this instance, Sir Boats.
