Got good news and some really bad news.
The good news is that I am out of the hospital and home again. The bad news is that my lungs are worse then last year. I am on oxygen therapy almost 24/7, I can sit in a chair with out it but sleep and do most other things with it on. No more working in the yard, or going out with-out my " girl friend " with me.
We have called upon my Daughter to come live with us and help take care of this place, too much for my wife to do alone. I admit to being depressed, and being in a foul mood over this latest turn of events. It seems at this point my only opition is a procedure called " shaving " my lungs or a transplant. The transplant list is a three year wait and my age is now at the the upper range of the cut off point. Tina has been keeping me up on what going on here, she says you are a great bunch of " crazy " guys. My chances of being able to meet with any of you or attend any phyco vets gatherings are limited at best, hope you will keep me in mind when you say your prayers, I could really use that. Take care of yourselfs and each other. Frank M |

Sarge...Prayers impacting in five seconds or as we used to say, and still sends chills up my spine when I hear it, "Spalsh, Over!" I will add you to my prayer list and hope for a speedy recovery. Us Redlegs gotta stick together!

Frank,
Sorry to hear it, buddy. My mother had to be on the "ball and chain" and I know it is very limiting. I think I know what shaving a lung is. It is to prevent lungs form collapsing I think. Don't give up, guy. People come off of oxygen too.

On theWay, Over
I like that much better than when they changed the call to "Shot, Over" No matter what, always remember that you are the king of battle. We will be with you no matter what, if we can't be there in body you can bet we will be there in spirit.

Frank :
My prayers are with you and your family. My mother has been on oxygen for COPD for several years. Just do what the docs tell you. Wishing you all the best. Larry Nuckolls
