A trivia game has been added to chat. This game will auto track members scores and post them to the chat score page which can be entered through the link in the "Users in chat" box on the home page. This page is automatically updated every 30 seconds. There are 10,000 questions in the database on general trivia so far. Here is a brief list of commands to type in the chat room to use the trivia game.

!start - this command will start a trivia game

!stop - this command will stop a game

!skip or !next - these commands will move on to a new question

!hint - this command will give you a hint for the question

!top10 - this command will show you the top 10 players names

The game is easy to play and can be a lot of fun. Enjoy

How do I access the trivia game? I went to chat and didn't see anything with "trivia" attached to it.

The bot may have been out of the channel. If you see DavidB there just type
!start and the game will start.

...and it came up way off center, and I couldn't shrink it, or clear it unless rebooting my box...
...i know it's prob something in my poop-u-tater here, any suggestions on how to fix the screen

I am not sure why that would have happened. The chat itself is java so you may have an outdated java script running. Updating your browser may help. If it does not want to work you can always download the mirc chat script from the page located in the downloads under utilities. It is named patriot chat. All you need to do once you download it and unzip it is enter your username and hit connect. It will go to the right server and channel automatically.

Could I get that in English. Whats a bot? Or a channel? Type start where? All I get is a gray box with some cascading menus at the bottom, not of which says anything about trivia.

If the box is staying grey then the java is not working. You may need to lower your internet security settings or update the browser to use the chat. When the chat starts is also loads a security program to make the connection. You must accept the prompt that pops up to allow the chat to run on your computer.

We added some new questions to the trivia bot. There are now 59,000 questions available.
