Note: Send National Guard, not FEMA, to hurricanes — Army general By: Thomas Frank E&E News Net - 05-11-20 Re: https://www.eenews.net/climatewire/2...ies/1063101761 The National Guard should be put in charge of hurricane response this year because the Federal Emergency Management Agency will likely be overwhelmed as it handles the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the military leader who oversaw the federal response to Hurricane Katrina. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Personal note: FEMA should work with the National Guard as to the requirements needed for each disaster. The two working together can get more done and quickly than separately. Smart thinking by the Army General. Boats
