My long deceased father apparently was an operative during WWII and Korean Conflict. How do I get this info to put in our family history?

Downloaded the form. and will mail it off. Didn't have too much info to put on it, since those kinds of things weren't talked about much. Really want confirmation to put in the family bio, and to finally have the proof to be able to say 'wow', it was all true!
