Senator Clinton & Gold Star Mothers
Is this true? Does anyone know anything about where such a story might have come from?
It was fwd to me this afternoon... "Gold Star Mothers is an organization made up of women whose sons were killed in military combat during service in the United States armed forces. Recently a delegation of New York State Gold Star Mothers made a trip to Washington, DC, to discuss various concerns with their elected representatives. According to published reports, there was only one politician who refused to meet with these ladies. Can you guess which politician that might be? Was it New York Senator Charles Schumer? Nope, he met with them. None other than the Queen herself, Hillary Rotten Clinton. She refused repeated requests to meet with the Gold Star Mothers. Now, please don't tell me you're surprised. This woman wants to be President of the United States --- and there is a huge percentage of Voters who are eager to help her achieve that goal..." |

AMERICAN GOLD STAR MOTHERS, INC.
Headquarters 2128 Leroy Place NW. Washington, D.C. 20008 "Our headquarters facilities were purchased by the organization May 7, 1954. Members records and other organizational information are kept there, also a publication of the American Gold Star Mothers News Letter is put together at the Headquarters. The publication contains photographs and items of interest as a method of keeping members informed of organizational news. This is a group of mothers whose sons or daughters died in combat serving our country in order for the American people to live in peace and have all the freedoms that we enjoy today. This was by choice. The price was great. We must never take our freedom for granted and we must always keep our loved ones who paid the ultimate price alive in our hearts. It is important to the Gold Star Mothers not to draw attention to themselves. Our Mother's motto is "honor the dead by serving the living." What we most want to do is help our veterans and their families as well as our community as much we can, also to set a good example of love and patriotism for our country and for our veterans. The most fulfilling service I give is to our veterans in the VA Hospital and nursing homes. All a person has to do is walk into one of the facilities and look around, look into those dear ones eyes. When you are in public, just look around and take the time to realize what you are seeing. Lets count our blessings and share them. There are so many places where we can make a difference in someone else's life. There was a time when the Gold Star Mothers could support their organization, but we are so few in number now (less than 2,000 in the United States) that we are unable to do this any more. This is good in a way because it means we are not losing so many of our men and women to war. Once a year the Gold Star Mothers come together in a goup somewhere in our U.S., usually in the National President's home state with a convention to honor our veterans and our deceased Mothers and Dads, as well as for fellowship. But most of all, it brings attention to the needs of our veterans throughout the United States. Many of our veterans join in with us and it is wonderful being with them. We not only get to enjoy them, they do so much for us too. We are asking for your support through donations since we are not funded by any government agency. All we do depends on our limited financial ability. Most of us are on a fixed income and are about at the end of our resources. Any amount you can give will be greatly appreciated. This will help with our convention and help us carry on with serving the veterans and our community. God Bless you and thank you. Thank you for taking the time to read my memories." Ann Herd, American Gold Star Mother. |

It may of had something to do with them denying membership to the woman who's son was killed. She wasn't a US citizen. Just my guess but you never know with those people (politicians.)

I admit to being a Hillary watcher and have to say she is exceptionally clever and well paced. But as time passes we?ll see how much peanut butter and jelly squeezes out of her toast slices when the pressure is really on. I doubt the careful positioning will hold, but we?ll see what we shall see. That being said, Hillary will not do anything that does not put check marks in the plus column. Neutral or negative things will only be done very privately and with zero press coverage.
Meeting with Gold Star Mom?s is not a positive check mark and possibly something that could jump up and bite her in the butt later. Same deal with so many other groups that have sought an audience with her, especially groups with a Christian ambiance or groups advocating a controversial cause, even a cause she may privately support. Coming up is Hillary?s squeeze on Hollywood for some support bucks. My bet is that activity will be super squeaky clean in all respects and the usual Hollywood foul-mouthed ones will have to learn to speak through a huge cork and ten wraps of duct tape around their mouths. That or face the fiery wrath of one pissed-off Hillary and, alas, even Billary runs like the wind from that bit of horror, eh. Scamp P.S. Just a bit ago Hillary attended a shindig with one of the US Corporate bigies and by her words and actions one would get the impression she is a pro-business, free market advocate. Guaranteed, that bit of business will never see the light of day and no media was invited, period. The event was about honoring women in Business, Engineering and Science and clearly a good thing, but not something Hillary would want the press to see or report on.

Ayup... when in need of campaign funds, pose with some Vets (preferably disabled in combat), or some Gold Star moms, etc.
