Cool draft

the pros and cons of being drafted : some people might think it as an honor other might see it as "why me" . i'd love to get some feedback on this issue thanks private pounds

I volunteered during peacetime so I am not sure how I would have taken to the idea of being drafted during wartime. I know that if it happened today I would accept it and go.

Sorry Mike I reworded that post before you replied. What I said was I think I may have been pissed when I was younger to have been drafted.

Just my opinion but-

The draft=slavery
You can either have freedom or slavery;not both.
If our Nation can not exist without a draft it doesn't deserve to.

I joined because I knew I'd be drafted. The draft had no numbers in 65.I joined the Reserve Officer Training Corp in 67, numbers for the draft started later that year.

Drafted!!!!! I had no plans for the next 2 years...... which was better than having no plans for the next 3 years.
