Today Mandy evicted the "home hospice team." The team wasn't there to treat her but only to be there to comfort her before she dies. Mandy said that she's not ready to go yet and she doesn't want to die yet.
I was supposed to be walking in the Atlanta Walk for the Hungry today for my church but because of the family circumstances I wasn't able to make the walk. I gave my sponsors envelope with it's donations to the woman who was championing the walk for our church and told her why I wouldn't be able to participate. Her teenaged son was also walking for the cause but I've never had the occasion to talk with the boy but during services today this kid, wearing a teashirt and jeans walked up to me and hugged me and told me that he would be walking for Mandy today. The pastor of the church came to me after services and offered the same hug. All of the love in that church was totally unsolicited but God knows when His touch is needed and "when two or more are gathered in His name, He is there." Mandy told me last night that she was ready but she has been a miracle all of her life and I don't expect any less now. If this should come to pass as diagnosed, Mandy told me that she'll greet me, her Daddy, at the gate.

Mandy was found dead in her room at 2:00 p.m., yesterday afternoon. There was no appearent signs of pain or distress.
