Help! Assistance! Assistance!
Ok, a little melodramatic but I need help. This probalbly should have been put under retired but this is the problem:
My ex wife is using my medical benefits that she is not entitled to. She's not paying the bill so the balance is being deducted from my retired pay.
In October 2001, I discovered that she was still getting an ID card that she wasn't entitled to so I filed the paperwork with DEERS and they put a lock on that file.
This did not prevent her from going to a military base, getting treatment and, since she didn't pay the bill, charging it to me.
In the divorce, I gave up 1/2 of my retired pay just to get rid of her. She does not meet the statuary requirement for full benefits for life much less payment of her current medical bills.
According to retired pay, all she needs is my social security number and I have to pay.
