To Each His Own

Back in the year 1946 and at a time when the world was still licking its wounds from World War II, a song by the name of “To Each His Own” was making the rounds.

Actually, the sentiment was nothing new, even if the world was a lot slower and simpler back then? And of course, no one could have ever guessed how many more wars were yet to be fought, how much carnage was yet to be leveled, and just how many of the same old (and stale) political lies this planet was yet (and probably is yet) to endure?

So here we are today (damned near September 17, 2018) and the planet is still romanticizing about its re-occurring losses, Young Turks are hungrily licking their chops in eager anticipation of glorious (?) new victories that are yet to be won, and I am in the process of observing my seventy-eighth year of hoping for that which has thus far been just out of our reach – “WORLD PEACE & HUMAN SANITY!!”

Hey old buddy -

Don't fret this world will get along without us and many more of us there after. It seems we've yet to learn how to be peaceful. It's the Haves vr's the Have Nots that are at odds.

As we know its the basic needs of all peoples that are uneven - so they are at odds with those who've prevented them from providing for their families. Education is lacking in many parts of the world - whose fault is that? Men versus Women still prevail. Old traditions and ways of life need to be rebooted to provide fair justice for all. Little demigods that take away a people's provisions and don't provide decent housing & jobs for those who want to be self-sufficient is part of the problem.

Until weapons are put in check you will never see change. The disorder of human races are always fighting a system that is corrupt. The so called self made demigods running many of these little countries are the main cause of the grief of so many. These self made leaders are only thugs who over time bush-whacked the innocent with fear and killings.
The people's will has been broken they are now like sheep being lead to slaughter.

If there is a God - he or she should be able to strike them down. But we know this will never happen. Peace on Earth is centuries away. More strife and more destruction will continue - I see this everyday year after year.

We keep polluting our air and water. Ice is melting more and more at the poles. Water levels will rise - the temperature will increase "all because" the men & women in power can't see further than their own personal needs.

HC I feel your sorrow and pain for we both want a better future for those we leave behind.
I don't think we are the only two on earth that think that way. You would think those in power would see it that way but they only see what they want to see and read in the papers or on TV. Most are not for the people they are for those who will give them what they want - Power! over others.

We all have dirty Mayor's, Governor's, Representative's, Democrat's, Lawyer's, Cop's and yes even President's. And it's no different in any other country! The system will continue this way for as long as it can get away with it.

The biggest problem is that our kid's have to fight these wars of which were not made by them but by others. Win or Lose there will be dead or wounded and for what? The issues are always by the leaders. They don't fight the wars - the men and women of each country is duty bound to fight wars so declared by each country - without exception.

Man has fought man for an eternity. Man will destroy anything that is in their way. And we call ourselves the superior human race. We now kill ourselves on our territory and in our own neighborhoods - why you ask - because they can! and will continue to do so unless somebody can fix this sick society of self destruction.

Only guys like us in our later years can reflect on those days gone by. We see the repetition repeat itself every ten years or so. Man is his own worst enemy.
