Willie Richmond
It took me years to find his name on the wall because I remembered it as Richardson not Richmond. We had a lot of conversations about why black men had more succeses with women than white men. He was a good 18 year old freind and shared his c-rations with me once when I didn't have any. I remember him and the red smoke and the chopper taking him away 38 years ago as if it was yesturday. Because of a memorial I left to him on the virtual wall years ago, people from the company in 68 have been finding us 30 plus years later. Many of us will see his name and leave a plaque this June at the wall in DC. I bet Willie is looking down and smiling because he brought us back together. I always wished I could have talked to his family to tell them what a nice son they had.

Had the same problem with a buddy, Domenico Cacciola. (panel 20E) Both of us from NY, went through Basic and AIT together. Then On to Vietnam. He was killed in May of 67. For some reason the years and deteriorating brain cells changed his name to Don Castalano. and It pissed me off that I couldnt locate him on the Wall. His Nephew posted a tribute to him on the Virtual Wall where there is a picture of Him and I, which I had found later. Seeing the picture was an eye-opener but the part that bothered me the most was the fact that I had forgotten his name. Bob K
