Five aircraft carriers from four different NATO member countries are currently sailing around Europe. The deployment comes as the war in Ukraine continues and Russia lost the strategic city of kherson. NATO has stressed that none of the carrier deployments are part of any larger coordinated effort. However, experts describe the deployment of five strike groups operating simultaneously as a significant show of maritime force.
