I Have A Whale OF A Tale To Tell You Lad!
For countless centuries, mankind has feared the ferocious creatures of the briny deep - the vicious sea monsters that devoured hapless sailors and drag ships down to Davy Jones! Well lo and behold, all of those tall tales might not have been waterlogged nonsense after all!! The existence of the Giant (Newfoundland) Squid has long been known. As a matter of fact, several fine (huge) examples of this creature have been found (dead) in fishing nets over the years, just like the legendary Coelacanth! ?None have been discovered alive, however, until now that is!? Well blow me down, not only has yet another story about this Nemo-esque monster surfaced, indeed, the damned thing was even filmed. Although hooked, they say, this monster of the deep blue sea broke free, but not before losing an 18? piece of on of its gigantic tentacles!! And for the record, it is said that deep-diving whales feed upon these giant squids. Scarier yet however, is that several whales have been found with huge chunks bitten off of there lumbering carcasses! Now is these huge whales are feeding upon giant squid, what (pray tell) is eating them? ?Hell, I don?t even want to think about it!!? Giant pre-historic sharks once thought to be extinct perhaps? ?Move over jaws, a real monster this way comes!!? Hell, even Fidel is getting in on the act! A new ?Cuban Archeological Dig? claims to have found evidence of the great meteor impact (some 65 million years ago) that wiped out most life forms on Earth, including the dinosaurs? The humungous meteor is said to have impacted somewhere around the Yucatan Peninsular, and laid waste (directly or indirectly) the ecosystem of this planet (Cretaceous Period of Geologic History). Now I know for a dammed fact that all archaic life forms were not exterminated as a result of that chunk of space rock! Hell, we still have politicians don?t we? And for the record, right down there in the region of ground zero, enough decaying DNA survived to give birth to Castro and Fox did it not? ?Only kidding of course, as there ain?t no such critters as a Politicus Rex and or a Bureaucratic Raptor!!?
