Our country is headed for turmoil not seen sense 1861.
1/2 the people in our country disagree with the other half on every issue thats out there. I can see the day when one part of our government gets control, threw the vote, and enacts laws that help that party, or even the so called minority groups get elected and make laws that help there group.
Hears an example.
Lets say Democrats are the majority and the Democrats push threw a law that says any registered Democrat gets a 10% break on there income tax, all you need is a voter registration card that you registered Democrat, or lets say Blacks get elected to lawmakers jobs in a state, and they introduce laws in there state where Blacks pay no income tax and Democrats pay far less. Or Browns get elected in a border state and make laws in favor of Mexicans. I just chose democrats because I had to pick one, it could be Republicans that have the majority.
When you have half the people in a state of city or country that disagree just to disagree, a Fight is coming. Are we ready for a Civil War in the United States?
What ever party is in control at the time also controls the Police, and military.
I sure hope I never see it.

In 1860 the Northern Mostly Republicans at the time came to power with the Presidency and a majority in the Congress and Senate because the Democrats were split between North and southern Dems. Congress passed one of the worst tariffs on the Southern export of Cotton to England so the Northern Industrial Corps could buy the Cotton at a reduced price by forcing the Southern planters to sell to them instead of paying close to a 70% tariff on the sales to England. Again Economics caused the War of 1861 and if the Congress could pass punitive taxes against one group again a Civil War would Happen and like last time the Southern Soldier Boys would head home to those 11 states that seceded and offer their swords to the Next Southern Secession. when the Dust Settles there would be a California Free State Republic, A Northwest Eco Bloc, a Midwest Rust belt bloc, a Northeastern Yankee Bloc, and lastly from Texas to Florida would span the New Southern States Bloc. The Southern States with their High Tech spots of Johnson Space Center and Cape Canaveral, the Offshore Oil and Agriculture Industry plus all the Military Bases there is in the South. Georgia,SC, FLA, LA, AR, TN, MS, AL, VA, NC, Texas, And maybe this Time W.VA we in the Southern Bloc would be well situated to run our own Country if push came to shove in this hypothetical situation.

I wasn't advocation a breakup of our nation, (except maybe California)
And I think it would be a terrible thing if any group ever brought legislation to a vote in congress in favor of a group or party,and an ever more terrible thing if it got passed. that all being said, I can see special groups being so upset with our country that they when a group gets the power rather than slipping back into silence the next vote, they take action to help them while they can.
There is a way to protect all of the country, but it has to be enacted now. Our government has always been open minded and in the end Fair. But now I can see legislation being introduced that would help a special group and it getting passed.
How would it feel to have a law that says BLACKs pay no income tax, or Registered Republicans get a 10% break on taxes.
I hope it never happens.

I agree about not wanting that to happen , but what I wrote has been theorized by them College think tanks as a what If scenario. After the great Court case that affirmed GWB as president by his electoral votes to Gore's dismay. A group of mad Northeastern Democrats in the so called Blue States were actually contemplating session. Others of that group were considering moving to Canada. That short period was the closest in 150 years of another group leaving the union, but unlike the CSA any body today trying to leave the Union would be unconstitutional because of the 13th and 14th amendment clauses. As the founding fathers stated "E Pluribus Unium"

If a side decided to leave the union and won, then it would be a great victory, and a new constitution would be written, If that side would loose, they would then be tried for breaking the amendments. As in all wars, The winner writes the history.
In WW2, The United States, England and Russia killed just as many if not more (NON COMBATANTS) as Germany did including the jews. And Russia executed 100 of thousands of prisoners on the march back to Russia from Germany. No one was tried for war crimes on the winning side.
Look at Custer and history, a massacure? The other side probably wrote "a great victory"

(from a letter to President Jefferson Davis, 1864) Today the NAACP and the NCAA are trying to get SC and Mississippi to lose their Confederate flags in order to play in post season College games.Kids get suspended from school now days just for honoring their Fathers (a commandment of GOD) albeit Gr-Grandfathers by the useage of the Confederate Battle Flag.
