1. Iraqi Police May Have Coordinated Attacks - There is no evidence that
al-Qaida terrorists have taken part in the long string of attacks on
U.S. or Iraqi targets, but some U.S.-trained Iraqi police appear to have
coordinated some of those assaults,

2. Facing the Horrific Every Day - Army Hospital in Baghdad Is First
Refuge for U.S. Casualties - Since the largest U.S. Army hospital in
Iraq opened its doors on April 10, nearly all U.S. casualties have
passed through its first-floor emergency room. Some come already dead.
Some arrive with one arm instead of two, a shattered leg or a face wiped
away by an explosion.

3. Family struggles after US missile attack - BAGHDAD -- Down the street
from the trickle of sewage, past a shabby market where three US Army
Humvees patrolled through crowds, Madhlum Jassam clambered hesitantly
over rubble left by a US bombing in March. To no one in particular, he
whispered a phrase. "God forbid," he said over and over. "God forbid."

POLITICS:
1. Pushing Technology And Fighting Skeptics - Missile Defense to Be
Deployed in Election Year - Critics in Congress, scientific circles and
the arms control community continue to warn that the administration is
rushing ahead with an approach that has yet to be adequately tested and
is likely to prove unworkable or quickly become obsolete.

2. Bush's Iraq visit a pre-election PR stunt: analysis - "Electoral raid
on Baghdad" read the caustic headline in the left-wing Paris daily
Liberation that summed up European newspaper editorial reaction to
President George W Bush's Thanksgiving Day visit to US troops in Iraq.

HEALTH:
1. Aspirin found cost-effective for heart - Study says common drugs as
good as, cheaper than statins - THE ANALYSIS found that low-dose aspirin
was as effective as and much cheaper than statins, which lower
cholesterol, or the blood thinning drug clopidogrel,
