I guess I was born with the dumy mind.
Today July 4, 2004 in the year of our lord, I really screeeeeeewed up. Was cooking some French Fries that come in the bag to go with the Ribs. Well, Dummy here dropped them suckers in real REAL hot oil, and they just happen to spoil over and started one hell of a fire in the kitchen. Electric stove and oil all over it and burning like a shingle house. But anyhow, my Two sons from Ohio were here and waiting on their lunch and seen this happen, so one grabs a comfortor ( sp ) that was on the washing machine to be washed ( it dont have to now ), But dummy here grabbed a glass from the sink and filled with water and kept on going and going till the fire was out. Yep it wernt out, but what a hell of a mess afterwards. Didnt even stop long wnough to think electric and water dont mix, but luckliy the fire went out, now I have to rebuild and repaint the kitchen, One hell of a way to celebrate my oldest sons birthday. Turned 28 today and now he is on his way back to Ohio where it is safe from the ................ Just wanted ya to know,. Ron, IF you read this, please dont considere me one of the dummies around Houston, just around Dallas. enough........

reeb...just chalk it up to a senior moment, have seen and I think Ron and firemedic will agree, far dumber things committed.
Had one lady, cooking french fries, went outside on the porch to talk on the phone, looked through the window and saw the flames and than finished her phone call before calling 911, said she thought they were supposed to flame like that, lost her kitchen and two upstairs bedrooms before it was all over. Be careful my friend, we need you! Trav

Reeb, you and yours are still walking up right and taking in air.
That's all you really need to worry about. Sorry about your mishap.

Reeb,
Glad that you and your sons ar OK, that is really al that matters. Everything else is gonna burn eventually anyway, but you , them, and the relationships you have together are eternal. But just to lay it safe, for the next time , go out and supersize your fire extinguisher! Hank |
