Default THE CELEBRATION OF THE VICTORIOUS STAUNCH DEFENSE PART 3

8)For some reason Kiem received the order to go to Phan Rang to brief
President Thieu who was spending vacation with his family in his home
town. It was near the Tet season; and Thieu had usually spent his Tet
in Phan Rang. Kiem reported on the Naval Battle. Kiem was received in
Thieu Garden where Thieu had organized a Garden Party with food and
drink next to a Gazebo. He dared not give Thieu unpleasant details (Mr
Kosh, Friendly fire hits etc…). Thieu did not seem to be interested..

He said to Kiem: Don't worry about the lost ships, I will give you new
one.
Kiem sweared under his breath: I don't give a shit about the ship. I
just want my comrades in arm back alive.

9)Saigon was in an Euphoria celebrating with Champagne the Victory of
the Puppet Navy in the Paracelses. They believed the Puppets' claim
that they had sunk two Chinese Ships. Two Canoes or rafts might be
closer to the truth because no picture or carcasses of the ship
existed.
The South Vietnamese leaders somehow reminded me of Baghdad Bob, the
famous Minister of Information of Saddam Hussein who gave us so many
good laugh in his press conferences before the Allied Troops reached
Baghdad. He once claimed that Iraq had a new weapon that would wipe
out all invaders very soon then He insisted that the rumor that the US
forces had reached the gate of Baghdad was Us propaganda.
Recently Baghdad Bob landed a Job with a Kuwaiti TV station. When
asked to comment on the recent capture of Saddam Hussein he declared
without laughing that the person captured was not Saddam and that the
US had captured Santa Claus .

We saw so many Baghdad Bobs now on SCV in the Brainless Boatmen rank.
The only difference was while Baghdad Bob made El Chino laugh , the
SCV Bobs only made El Chino Puke !
