Keith, right, (not far right ) it was my chart. If I would have taken the quiz 15 or 20 years ago I think I would have had more of a left libertarian bent. Old age can screw up lot's of things.

Post In my twenties I'm sure . . . .

In my twenties I'm sure I would have been left of center. I believe conservatives are realists and have a much better grip on reality. The liberals are idealists and want to make everything better but don't have a good grip on reality. The older I get the more realistic I become. But, I do want to think that humanity is basically good and have a sense of idealism.

It seems to me that any personal philosophy; political, religious or whatever, will, as long as it is tempered with moderation, leave a person in good stead. It's the radical application of any belief system that seems to cause problems.

Of course, if the the founding fathers would have been moderates, ........???

So does that mean radical measures are sometimes justified by need ?

Hell, I don't know! I'm not now, or ever will be, wise enough to answer that. I'll just have to leave those kinds of decisions up to those wise-men in Washington. (If they ever get there again!!!)

Keith,
I held one political office, President of my kids PFA. Sure had to have a tough skin for that one! I did it for four years though, and raised tons of money. Bought 16 computers for the school, only one meeting a month (thank God!!) and pretty much worked 8 hours a day at it. The pay sucked, ( nothing!!) but I was at school all day with the kids, or nearby, and they took pride in that. I think it gave my son confidence to run for class offices. And he gained insight into what a delicate balancing job everything is!

PHO,

The ride was is intended for my nonprofit group, not for political reasons. Let me know what you think.

Ken, I would consider myself centrist too. BTW, Emily got beat in 2001 by Jack Loftis, not sure where you got the info but it needs updated. Emily goes to my church and Jack is a neighbor. Talk about small town..........LOL

Bernadette, Thanks for the welcome.

Keith, Serious about a running mate? Really? Ok, let's talk. What party and are you serious about being sponsored by Patriotfiles?

It's not easy to keep up in here............LOL

Hi Gary - welcome on. I'm the official patriot files brat - for about one more month before I disappear. I'll still be making occasional appearances though.

I'll stay COMPLETELY out of the political conversations.

But it looks like you've already found a spot in the community - watch out though, there's a cold spreading around... I think I introduced it - sorry in advance.

We live near enough to Keith to have met him but are currently visiting in Las Vegas for a time.

This is a nice safe place to visit with military types. Sometimes they treat you just like family. Then Keith comes in and tries to get everyone to stop behaving like family

We have a nephew serving in the Air Force stationed in NC. He'll be able to spend a little time with his new son before he goes back to the war.

Some of us try to get the political fighting to go to the libertyfiles.com website (same people, different address) but have not been very successful. I have a thread there now concerning Sen. Patty Murray.

Whereever you've been, whatever you've done, Welcome Home.

Thumbs up FLYBOY

Loved them snakes. Anybody that hauls ass at 200mph at tree top level and heavily armed is okay with me. I'm one of the two PSYCO VETS in the Bay Area. No bike, though.

Welcome!

Tom,

Thanks for the warm welcome. I think I'm going to have to become a Psyco Vet without a bike too. Any initiation required?

Take Care,
