Apparently, with all the wacky-weed smoke floating around out West, the folks and cows need to be reminded that gravity still exists, and that if not careful, they too can fall off a cliff. And congratulations on getting the "voting" thing down better; first place in the Political Lunacy Award now goes to New Jersey!!
Oh mah Gawd, did we just post this on the Vietnam site? Beware of the site police!!

Easy answer to this one Steve......
Nevada is an open range state and therefore cattle have the right away in all things, including gravity falls. In other words, if a cow falls off a cliff, which apparently happened at one time, ya should not let it hit your car cause if ya did, ya just bought a cow, steer, bull or whatever. Ya?ll travelers coming west would like the scenic drive along highway 50 for that is truly the mild-wild west, for sure. But on the other hand, watch out for them hay burners, including wild horses. Oh, points are awarded to hitting a wild horse, as the ranchers hate them critters for eating up all the cattle food.
Just as you reenter civilization some twenty-odd miles east of Fallon ya got to really watch out because highway 50 is on the southern end of the Navy bombing range and them Navy Jets come screaming out of the blue, right down on the deck, and it?ll scare the bajasus out of ya if ya don?t know what?s going on, guaranteed. The continuing controversy is who pays for the cattle that stray onto the range and get taken out during bombing practice. Not a solved issue yet, but them coyotes just love to hear them Navy fighter-bombers streaking on in. So I suppose the coyotes have the first round of negotiation in their corner, by default. :ek: Scamp |

signs
Looks like some young wipper-snaper got creative with a black marker.
We have FM roads hear and if you hit a animal on a (Farm to Market) road, you owe trippel the value to the owner. . Ron |

Watch Out For "Falling Rock"
This looks like a teenage prank with a magic marker.
Out West we have to use graphics. We use to have signs that read, "Watch For Falling Rock" Everyone thought that "Falling Rock" was a well known native American Chief and kept looking for his feathered headdress so they could wave to "Falling Rock". So many people high centered on Big Rocks in the roadway that the Highway department had to start using graphics. Also in some states out west people read so slowly that by the time words sunk in they had high centered on a rock. So. . . . out west we use graphics. We are simple people out here so we keep it simple. Keith |
