Fallen Marines funeral to be protested
Funeral plans are set for an Oklahoma Marine killed in Iraq this week.
US Marine Sergeant James R. Graham III will be laid to rest at 10 AM August 13th at Floral Haven in Broken Arrow. The 25-year-old father from Coweta was killed Monday by a suicide bomber. He was a member of Broken Arrow's anti-tank training company. Graham was married with two children. Family friends honored the family and the fallen Marine. Thursday, the Tulsa company Graham's mother Katrina works for, put together a special tribute for the Marine and his family. Guaranty Abstract Company teamed up with the Blue Star Mothers to make sure Graham is honored and remembered here at home. They decorated his mother's yard with flags, red white and blue ribbons and ?Remember J? signs. Pat Baker with Guaranty Abstract Company: "10 or 12 of us just got together and went over and got the yard decorated for them, in honor of Katrina and her family. Just to let them know that we love them and we support them." The group decorated one fence with cups that read, "US Hero". The town of Coweta has called for people to come out in a show of respect for this Marine and his family. They asked that people come and line the streets with their flags. The FBI and Law enforcement has alerted the town that the Rev Fred Phelpsfrom Topeka KS will show up at the funeral to protest the Marines service tothis countryand they needed to be aware there should be no interaction with the protestors. Mel my girls and I will be there in support of the Marine and his family.I hope all will be peaceful and the family will be shielded as much as possible fromthisman and his followers. All Pray for the family please. Arrow>>>>>

I can feel the blood in my veins heating to the point of boiling.
Thank God that you and what I hope will be hundreds(or as many that can be there) show up and show that family the support they deserve. How I would love to show them my fist up close but God's judgment will be the the ultimate punishment. |

Sis,
I think some intense interaction and communication with Phelps and the WBC flock would be highly desirable and informative. But your local law enforcement people know best and I?m sure they have things covered to the last second and inch of activity and will be unrelenting toward so much as one false move from Phelps. But on the other hand your ropers, a can of blue paint and an Irish war hammer may be the right things to have along just to make you feel better and more attentive to the proper thoughts for the Marine and his family. My thoughts and prayers go the Marine and his family. Scamp

There are moments, such as this, when "free speech" seems to be a bit too free and speech, when it oughta be free and quiet.

Just more crap to make feel even more disgusted. The Rev should get down on his knees and give thanks that I won't be there. Let him know how we feel Sis! FTSOB!

Here's a man claiming to be of religion and using the "freedom of speech" to hide behind. He obviously forgot that if it weren't for war and military personnel, he wouldn't be able to protest.
