We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

(If this would apply in all cases - we wouldn't have so many outstanding issues).

Where the simplicity is so stated in the preamble the actual facts get highly distorted in the
alterations since it's conception. Remember since its conception the Constitution has been Amended 27 times each favoring the constituents both civilian and officer's currently in office.

The People really have no say in the majority of the alterations short of throwing out the officials who while in office benefited by these Amendments.

*** - Other issues relate to "No Taxation" without Representation: Which now refers to what is called DACA.

Now reads: Our Constitution’s Article I, Section 8, Clause 1 gives Congress the “power to lay and collect taxes, duties, imposts and excises”. If Congress has the authority to tax you, is it a given that all citizens who are taxed have a voting representative in Congress?

Note: Would Americans have more clout when it comes to Congress’s taxation actions if they all enjoyed "taxation with representation'? If you could, would you amend the Constitution so it gives every American citizen, regardless of where she resides, a voting member in Congress?

*** - And to this day, those who live in U.S. territories and possessions, and in Washington D.C., are subject to federal taxation, even though they have no direct representation in Congress. So much for people power - we've long ago lost that ability!
