Much Ado About Nothing?
As it was with the Bard of Avon (William Shakespeare, 1564-1616 A.D.), the world offers many opportunities for observation and comment! One has to look no further than politics, war and worldly events, to realize that not much has changed in the last four centuries!
One of “Old Will’s” more illustrious works was entitled - “MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING”, and when describing the mentality of many within the ranks of mankind, and in particular - the bureaucratic mindset, we may as well still be brushing our teeth with urine, hanging poultice bags around our necks, and offering up burnt offerings at some sacrificial alter to Zeus! For if it is true that a fool is doomed to repeat his mistakes, then in that marketplace, we hold the deed to the whole kit and caboodle! Have you ever noticed how nearly every “Political Up And Comer” hands out the same line of malarkey when they are in a race for all of the gold? Or how, when the election is over, the facts are that they all lied like Hades! As a matter of fact, even members of the same political party are now at each other’s throats, even before the primaries are over! So if members of the very same political party think so little of their opponents during these debates, why should we think any differently of them? “Could it possibly be that there is no superior candidate for ant given office - only the lesser of two evils?” VERITAS (Truth)
