Computer lesson 1
Id like to tank you all for showing up in Computer 1 class and as your instructor I would like to say welcome.
Our first lesson will be the capturing of copy writed material and saving it to your computer. Lets say your sufing threw the internet and you find something you would like to save to your computer, you put your mouse over the picture you want to save and right click and a screen pops up that says "you can't do that" or something to that effect. What do you do? What you do is take the picture anyway. Hears how. with your up/down arrow center the picture on the screen and then hit the prt scr button on your key pad, right next to the backspace key. This is a copy function and will copy anything that is on your screen. Now you can paste it in a word file (but you can't manipulate it) or the best place is to copy to Paint Brush . Paint Brush has been around for a long time and is on all but the oldest computers. If its not on your Desk Top you can find it in Programs/accesories and the paint, Right click on the icon and drag it to your desk top. Open paint and then go to edit and hit paste. Ta-Da What ever you were looking at is now on your paint program. On the top right of the tool bar is a dotted rectangle click on it and the seround the picture you want and go to edit again and choose copy. Now go to file and choose new, iYou have a blank screne and you go to edit again and choose paste. now you have the picture you wanted. Go to file again and choose save as. You select the file name and file type (choose JPEG) Beelow are pictures of what I said. |

Thank you Ron but here's Lesson #2:
Write your text in a word processing program first and you will note several either green or red squiggly lines showing up under your text as you type it. A green line shows that there is an error in your text or sentence structure and a red line identifies a misspelled word. Right click under the highlighted error and the Word program will either suggest a proper spelling or sentence structure allowing you to make the correction. If what you typed is exactly what you wished to type you are offered the option of ignoring the error or adding the entered, ?misspelled? word into your computers dictionary at which point your computer will no longer point out that particular error. You also might wish to have your Word program to automatically correct misspelled words while you are typing them. Copying and pasting your post on that Word program, that program showed a green line under ?Id like, Hears how, and now,? which was used as the first word in a sentence and not capitalized. It showed a red line under ?writed, sufing, accesories, seround, iYou, screne, and Beelow.?
