The German Defense Ministry announced last week that there had been an order issued to forbid sex in the army. It was said in the document that sex with other soldiers of opposite sex could exert negative influence on soldiers? spirit. It was even added that sex might jeopardize the mutual trust and aspiration to help each other.

The document was a result of German military officials? thinking about the state of things with females in the army. German women have been recently allowed to serve in the army. Furthermore, the document forbids the German soldiers to hang pornographic pictures on the walls of their barracks, since those pictures might be offensive to others.

So then, Fritz is going to click his heals and say yavol. Sure, uhuh. Up to this point in time I thought that only the US Navy sat around and dreamed up unenforceable, unrealistic and counter productive rules and regs. My favorite was ?blue jeans are forbidden 11th Naval district?. I guess they forgot to look at the working uniform. Yup, sure enough-blue jeans, except they called them dungarees. I suppose they expected us to work in our skivvies. I?d have been in a lot of trouble because I wore the expressly forbidden fruit of the loom jockey shorts. Our not so funny joke was ?All things not expressly forbidden are to be considered mandatory?. Yes indeed, Flag Cruisers-a pure slice of heaven.

Considering the way Germany has whimped-out regarding helping-out with Iraq,...I would have thought that their leaders would have encouraged their military to promote having more sex within the ranks? After all, at least then The German Military might have something practical to do. Don't you think?

But then,...what-the-hell-do-I-know?
