Great pictures Tom. How many buildings in all? I don't recall seeing pictures of the Wall. Did you post them and I missed them? How was that? I'm sure very emotional and overwhelming. Thanks for the pictures.

RA,
I don't think Frisco will mind me answering one of your questions. Our National Museum, the Smithsonian, consists of 19 buildings (museums) plus the National Zoo. 17 of the museums are located in metropolitan Washington D.C. and two museums are in New York City. The D.C. museums lie along the perimeter of the National Mall between the Capitol Building and the Washington Monument.

Wow, very impressive. No wonder you need so many days to do DC. I'll add it to my agenda of places to go. Thanks.

RA,
I was stationed at Ft. Lee, Virginia in the late 60s and D.C. was within week-end pass limits. I spent MANY week-ends there seeing all the National landmarks, and I must've spent at least 8 weekends at the Smithsonian and STILL didn't see it all. The Smithsonian has over 140 MILLION items for exhibition.
