And The Wind Is Still Blowing Like Hell

Maybe the wind is not blowing as hard as it could be (and has been), but traveling over these mountain passes is still something that requires extreme vigilance and caution! And when a few of those wind gusts approach the seventy and eighty mile an hour range, that is still more than enough to make it a hazard for any driver that takes his mind off of the road, even for a slight moment!

Granted, the wind speed may not be up to “East Coast Standards” at times, but when you are lulled into a state of false-euphoria and you get side-swiped from the east by one of those ‘Little Tempests From Hell’, it is more than enough to garner your immediate attention- and that too is a fact!

But not to complain and having survived through some pretty tempestuous weather at times, (having lived all over the nation), it is still a pretty-good wake-up call when you get side-swiped by “Old Mother Nature!” And this is something that many of my “Shaky-Side Fellow-Patriots” have to live with on a regular basis! So, all that we can do is to hang on tight to the nearest wall, and remember that no matter how challenging it may get (by our standards out here in “The West”), at least our friends (points east) do not have to contend with those occasional temblors (Earthquakes) that can (and have on occasions), nearly shaken the damn fillings right out of my old eighty-two year-old teeth, “And So It Is - On Occasions!”
