Relatively short and baseless (by choice), most men cruise through life along lines that they themselves design, although there are many exceptions to this rule! As a matter of fact, some stubborn and contrary souls (such as I) strive for independence of one sort or another and choose to buck the tides of life, even though those who claim to be advocates of self-determination and self rule, falsely claim that every man’s life is his to govern – “but is it really?”

Granted, finances, education and even happenstance, have a good deal to do with every man’s lot in life, and there are even those fools who adhere to the tenet that each man, and none other, dictates one’s own route in life, but it is only a damned fool who really believes that no other factors have a baring upon any man’s path, course, or direction in life!
