The precious sons of war makers

234 sons of senators and congressmen came of military age during the Vietnam War.

28 of that 234 served in Vietnam [12%].

19 of that 28 saw combat [8%].

I'd say 19 of those 28 seeing combat is a pretty high percentage, Of
course that depends on your definition of combat.

Even with a fairly broad interpretation, I'd be surprised if there was
more than 10 who saw combat.

Grub's post has a deja vu quality to it. I recall these numbers
being seriously challenged maybe a year ago.

For starters, I'd like to see names.
