“Where There Is No Truth, There Is No Honor!” And where no honor exists, can any nation forever flourish? But then, once again, maybe it’s just my old-school way of thinking, but once upon a time, a man’s word was his bond, even within politics! As a matter of fact, and of course it is only legend, but did not history itself, also make a big thing over “George Washington’s Reported Honesty?”

“So what happened along the way to alter this noble philosophy of life?” And why is it now perfectly acceptable to deal in lies, deception, and even half truths? As a matter of fact, I have even run into a few men and women of unquestioned honor, who take great pride in being devious and untruthful! Or as a person of my acquaintance once put it: “It isn’t what you are that counts, but rather what people think that you are?”

Well for the record, I do not now, nor have I ever, bought into this self-deceiving line of corkscrewed reasoning and rhetoric!” In fact, and in my opinion, it is exactly what you are that counts, and liars, toadies, and con-artists, no matter how highly educated, financially solvent, or even how proficient they may be in convincing others of their sincerity, have no place in positions of power- especially when people’s lives can be damaged, or even cut short, by their self-serving actions and nation-destroying lies!

And no matter where upon this planet they may reside, many people do not always appreciate having “The Light of Truth” flashed into their own self-serving eyes?
