Akuna Matada
I had to work late this evening, but I had a surprise waiting for me at home. Two of the grandkids (Harmon age 5 and Gracie age 3) are spending the night. They were watching "Lion King" when I came in. They had to tell me all about what was happening. They showed me which ones were the lions and which ones were the "laughing hineys." After 10 minutes of circus tricks, they wanted to sing. The little one opened up:
I'm a little tea pot short and stout, if you mess with me I'll punch you in the snout. Mammoo asked, "Who taught you that?" The oldest one says, "Pappoo." After that, I like to go swimmin' with bow-legged women I'm popeye the sailor man. Gracie wanted to sit by me on the couch. Somehow that always involves climbing. "Pappoo, you have skin in your ear." After an intense stare, she says, "Pappoo, you have hair in your nose. Why do grownups have hair in their nose?" There's never a dull moment with Pappoos and Opas. Chilidog |
